Theme:
An economically, socialy developed and self-reliant society can be created thorugh application of Appropriate Technology for Sustainable Development. The key to this will be the development of appropriate technology that integrates region-specific technology with new environment-conscious models and a socioeconomic system that accepts and use appropriate technology. The 7th All India Peoples’ Technology Congress is dedicated to this cause.
Through out the country scientists, engineers scientific workers and also artisans are continuosly developing techniques and models aimed at improving quality of life of the stakeholders. Researches are going on at the national level institutes and laboratories. Field-level application of technologies developed in laboratories are also being taken-up by people of different cross-section. To assimilate all the efforts and with a aim to create a national-level database and model of technologies, which are appropriate for the ultimate users; All India Peoples’ Technology Congress is organised in every alternate year in the month of February at Kolkata.
FOSET, being an organisation under Core-Support of Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India feels proud to organise the event in association with other organisations dedicated for the cause.

Participation in AIPTC is open to all people, who are interested in the theme of the congress.
Call for Papers:
Papers are invited from individuals/ institutions to comply with the AIPTC’s main topics listed above. Papers on Ready-to-Transfer Technologies and Field-level, Cost-effective Applications of Science and Technology are most welcome.
Guidelines for Paper Presenters:
- The abstract should generally not exceed 500 words.
- Submit two complete hard copies of the Manuscript and a compact disk containing the final version of the paper. The manuscript should be within 3000 words, typed in single space on one side of A4 sized paper (210 X 297 mm with a printing area of 150 X 205 mm). Leave margin of 30 mm on left side as well as on the top. The typeface should always be Times New Roman, with a font size of 12 except in the cases specified separately.
- Title of the paper should be typed in Bold Capitals (Font Size 14), commencing from 50 mm. below the top of the page. Name(s) of Author(s) should be typed two spaces below the title in Title case. Please underline the principal/presenting author’s name.
- Section headings should be centered and titled 11-point bold upper & lower cases. The subsection headings should be left aligned and typed in 11-point italics with upper & lower cases.
- Tables should be given a table number and a description. They should be numbered using Arabic Numerals.
- Include only important references numbered in the order of their appearance in the text.
- The length of the manuscripts should be restricted to 10 pages maximum
- Please include black & white photographs only
- The Paper should be ready-to-print.
